Brand Design Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Advance and expand the Descript brand through various campaigns, web initiatives, and events.

• Oversee the concept and design processes for launches and campaigns from initial brief to final delivery.

• Create scalable brand systems and toolkits.

• Empower product, marketing, and sales teams to independently produce on-brand assets.

• Utilize AI tools and methodologies to achieve scale while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Manage both internal and external creative collaborators, including illustrators and design engineers.

• Guide and mentor designers, serving as an advocate for quality craftsmanship throughout the organization.

• Work collaboratively with diverse teams across the company to contribute to immersive brand experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years experience in brand design, either in-house or within an agency setting.

• A portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of strategic thinking and executional skills across web, social media, and paid channels.

• Strong expertise in typography, color theory, and composition.

• Proven experience in building a brand system that extends beyond your own contributions.

• Experience in directing external creative partners.

• Proficiency in AI tools to produce and scale work, alongside a clear understanding of their limitations.

• Preferred background in brand work within a SaaS company, particularly in the creative software sector.

• Additional skills in motion design, front-end development, or illustration are preferred.

• Experience in creating generative brand tools is a plus.

• Comfort with being on camera and publicly presenting your work is preferred.
