Principal Designer – Brand Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development, governance, and advancement of Edmentum's design systems and Figma component libraries.

• Define and uphold brand guidelines and visual identity.

• Create scalable and accessible web experiences, templates, and user interface solutions.

• Design marketing materials for digital platforms, social media, email, websites, presentations, events, and print media.

• Collaborate with Product, Development, Marketing, and content teams to ensure a cohesive brand experience.

• Produce animations, motion graphics, and video content.

• Advocate for optimized workflows, comprehensive documentation, and AI-enhanced design methodologies.

• Assist in Edmentum's brand refresh and modernization initiatives.

• Integrate Marketing, Product, and Development around a shared creative vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience covering graphic design, brand design, creative marketing, design systems, and UX/UI design.

• Extensive knowledge of Figma libraries, components, variables, FigJam, and Buzz.

• Proven experience in building and managing enterprise design systems.

• Strong understanding of Atomic Design, responsive design, web design, and user experience principles.

• Mastery in typography, layout, and visual storytelling.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.

• Experience in motion graphics and animation.

• Background in designing presentations and sales enablement materials.

• Ability to work collaboratively with software development and product teams.

• Familiarity with AI-driven design workflows.

• Openness to taking on evolving responsibilities as business needs change.
