This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute or oversee essential inspections of gas and steam turbines and generators utilizing remote inspection technologies.
• Conduct limited-access remote visual inspections employing borescope equipment.
• Deliver precise and clear interpretations of inspection findings.
• Gather, compile, and process inspection data effectively.
• Perform inspections at fossil and nuclear power facilities across the globe.
• Keep updated with emerging technologies and testing methodologies.
• Continuously enhance inspection qualifications.
• Timely creation of inspection reports.
• Submit time cards and manage expense reconciliation.
• Fulfill training obligations and other related business tasks.
• Conduct borescope inspections and any additional inspections as mandated by the business.
• Provide support for operations both domestically and internationally.
• Operate independently within a procedure-oriented environment.
• Travel both domestically and internationally, including on short notice and for extended durations.
• An Associate's Degree or equivalent vocational training in mechanical or non-destructive inspection technology, or at least 3 years of experience with borescope inspections.
• Preferably have borescope experience with heavy-duty gas turbines.
• Must be a US citizen or a legal resident of the USA.
• Must be eligible to travel in and out of the USA for training and global assignments.
• Willingness and capability to travel internationally on short notice and for extended periods.
• Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to rent vehicles.
• Competence in performing borescope inspections and other required inspections.
• Recommended experience with 7F.01-.03 gas turbine construction and borescope close-out inspections.
• Experience with quat cleaning is preferred.
• Knowledge of the design, construction, and maintenance of steam or combustion turbines/generators utilized in power generation.
• Familiarity with Mentor Visual iQ Videoprobe and Menu Directed Inspection software.
• Background in a customer service-oriented organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in customer service.
• Ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently with minimal supervision in a procedure-driven setting.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral communication, planning, and technical skills.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and during off-hours.
• Frequent travel is necessary; 80% travel required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
