Bookkeeping Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Review, code, and publish invoices and bills on a daily and weekly basis in a cloud-based platform for a portfolio of clients.

• Ensure the accuracy of essential invoice and bill data fields.

• Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and other entries, in QuickBooks Online and Xero.

• Obtain and upload bank and credit card statements from clients, conducting self-reviews to ensure accuracy.

• Prepare sales invoices and establish vendor payments on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedules.

• Refresh bank feeds in QBO/Xero or upload bank statements when feeds are unavailable.

• Compare bank statements with QBO/Xero bank feeds to verify accuracy.

• Assist with audits by supplying necessary documentation and support.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Assist Cloud Accountants with various bookkeeping-related tasks.

• Collaborate closely with AMLB’s co-founders and team members in a remote, cooperative environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping position utilizing cloud-based software, or possession of a bookkeeping/accounting degree.

• Commitment to a duration of 2 years.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to efficiently manage and prioritize tasks.

• A desire to grow with the company and advance in their career.

• Good cultural fit, characterized by friendliness, openness to feedback, and respect for differing opinions.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.

• Capability to work remotely from a designated home office.
