Bookkeeper – Xero, QuickBooks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise bookkeeping services for a portfolio of small business clients.

• Maintain accurate financial records utilizing Xero and QuickBooks.

• Execute bank reconciliations, conduct account analysis, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.

• Handle payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.

• Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with GAAP standards.

• Assist with budgeting, financial report preparation, and general ledger accounting.

• Carry out bank and general ledger reconciliation tasks.

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations, or gain proficiency in this area.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards as well as current tax laws and regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a bookkeeper or in accounting roles with a solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping principles.

• Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or similar applications.

• Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, GAAP standards, and account analysis.

• Experience in payroll processing and managing accounts payable/receivable operations.

• Capability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Effective communication skills for creating clear financial reports and collaborating with teams.

• Xero Certified Advisor and/or QBO ProAdvisor designation is a plus.

• EA or CPA designation is a plus.
