Bioinformatics Patent Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act on behalf of patent owners and petitioners at the PTAB.

• Advocate for complainants at the ITC.

• Manage patent prosecution for innovative clients, mainly medium to large enterprises.

• Offer intellectual property and patent professional placement services via Vanguard-IP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be registered with the USPTO.

• Strong academic background and/or industry experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

• An advanced degree (MS or PhD) is preferred.

• A high degree of familiarity and hands-on experience in both software and biological sectors is highly desirable.

• Previous experience in patent prosecution is essential.

• Must be highly detail-oriented.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Proficiency in technical writing is considered a significant advantage.

• For Attorney applicants, admission (or eligibility for admission) to the state bar relevant to the primary office location is mandatory.
