Bioinformatics Patent Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act on behalf of patent owners and petitioners at the PTAB.

• Advocate for complainants at the ITC.

• Handle patent prosecution for innovative clients, mainly medium to large enterprises.

• Offer intellectual property placement and recruiting services through Vanguard-IP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registration with the USPTO is mandatory.

• A robust educational background and/or industry experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline.

• An advanced degree (MS or PhD) is preferred.

• High level of familiarity and practical experience in both software and biological domains is highly desirable.

• Previous experience in patent prosecution is essential.

• Must possess a keen attention to detail.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Proficiency in technical writing is regarded as a significant advantage.

• For attorney candidates, qualification for admission to the state bar associated with the primary office location is necessary.
