This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Conduct modeling for specific or multiple systems/disciplines.
• Provide high-quality, cost-efficient shop drawings to support fabrication and installation.
• Supervise 3D modeling and coordination for assigned projects.
• Read and interpret specifications and contract documents, establishing project execution plans within BIM budgets.
• Utilize mechanical and plumbing systems knowledge, code interpretation, fabrication, and installation expertise, along with company best practices, to create installation and layout drawings.
• Identify routing efficiencies to maximize BIM value.
• Communicate execution plans to internal BIM/VDC team members and outsourcing partners.
• Conduct quality control on project deliverables.
• Lead clash detection, embedded data, industry coordination, and collaboration initiatives.
• Ensure that assisting BIM/VDC personnel adhere to departmental protocols.
• Manage models and drawings throughout the project lifecycle, including updates to linked files.
• Troubleshoot issues related to daily tasks.
• Collaborate with senior project leads/managers to review and compare subcontractor budgets.
• Schedule the delivery of Trimble layout drawings, shop drawings, BOMs, fabrication drawings, and as-builts.
• Engage in training opportunities while upholding departmental ethics, professionalism, and leadership.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 4 to 7 years of experience with BIM MEP processes.
• Advanced knowledge of building systems, code, fabrication, and installation.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Fabrication, and Bluebeam.
• Comprehensive understanding of the BIM/VDC process.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Capability to multitask and perform duties outside of the primary scope of work when required.
• Preferred: experience leading a small team of 2 or 3 BIM professionals.
• Willingness to travel 5% of the time to job sites or office locations.
• Capacity to work for extended periods at a desk and computer.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to kneel, stand, or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.
• Capability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
