This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collect insurance details, referral forms, and provide guidance to patients on financial assistance via phone.
β’ Schedule and register patients through phone or email communication without direct patient interaction.
β’ Coordinate with physicians and clinical personnel regarding urgent or referred patient scheduling requests.
β’ Gather patient demographic data and insurance registration details.
β’ Review and refresh new-patient appointment schedules.
β’ Contact patients to remind them of their appointments.
β’ Handle internal physician referrals for clinical services.
β’ Clarify billing procedures to patients and staff while addressing inquiries from patients and third-party payers.
β’ Support basic account maintenance tasks.
β’ Assist patients with inquiries related to insurance billing.
β’ Dispatch reminder cards and carry out other scheduling responsibilities.
β’ Utilize the Relatient patient reminder system to follow up with patients or modify scheduling as necessary.
β’ Make daily adjustments and temporary modifications to provider scheduling templates based on feedback from physicians.
β’ Operate in a standard office setting, generally seated at a desk or table, involving repetitive movements of the wrist, hand, or fingers.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent certification or a combination of education and/or experience.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
β’ No specific certification or professional license is necessary.
β’ A driver's license is not required.
β’ Familiarity or experience with billing systems, customer service, Epic EHR, financial information, insurance, medical office support, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, as well as skills in organizing, prioritizing, scheduling, and managing third-party claims.
β’ Capability to pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check and any additional required checks.
