This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create and review invoices for new, recurring, and modified customer contracts.
• Upload invoices to customer portals in accordance with specific formatting requirements.
• Process billing adjustments, credits, and cancellations, ensuring proper documentation is provided.
• Oversee billing schedules to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
• Act as the main point of contact for customer billing inquiries.
• Address internal and external questions regarding invoices, payment statuses, and account activities.
• Assist with customer cancellations by confirming balances and issuing credits.
• Communicate billing cycles, alterations, and discrepancies effectively.
• Utilize Maxio, Salesforce, and NetSuite for managing contracts, generating bills, and preparing financial reports.
• Keep accurate billing records for audits and month-end close processes.
• Update billing documentation across various systems.
• Recognize process inefficiencies and contribute to system and workflow enhancements.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Revenue teams.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable on payment applications, dispute resolutions, and follow-ups on collections.
• Prepare billing summaries and exception reports as needed.
• Analyze data in Excel using PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliation reports.
• Assist with ad hoc customer reporting requests.
• Participate in meetings and billing initiatives as assigned.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Billing, Accounting, or a similar financial operations position, ideally in a SaaS or subscription-based environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to accurately process a high volume of transactions.
• Familiarity with SaaS contracts, recurring revenue, and subscription billing models.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Proven track record of effective collaboration across various departments.
• Demonstrated capacity to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience with billing or ERP systems such as Maxio, Salesforce, or NetSuite is preferred.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and billing best practices.
• Familiarity with customer portals, including invoice uploads and credential management.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative SaaS environment.
• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, though experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
