Bilingual Workers’ Compensation Referrals Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare, submit, monitor, and follow up on Requests for Authorization (RFAs) from initiation through to resolution.

• Manage Workers’ Compensation referrals from beginning to end, ensuring compliance with California regulations and timelines.

• Coordinate patient appointments and procedures once treatment authorization has been obtained.

• Upload referral requests, necessary medical documentation, and case notes into ModMed.

• Accurately and promptly enter billing charges related to referral requests.

• Serve as the primary liaison among insurance carriers, TPAs, claims adjusters, patients, and healthcare providers.

• Maintain well-organized records to ensure that pending authorizations and referrals are not missed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience navigating the California Workers’ Compensation referral and authorization processes.

• Experience as a dedicated Workers’ Comp Referrals Coordinator within a medical environment.

• Proficient in communicating and negotiating authorization statuses with insurance companies, adjusters, TPAs, patients, and providers.

• Full-time contractor schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm PST.
