This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +14 more states.
• The scribe is responsible for medical record documentation and administrative tasks aimed at enhancing provider effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity to promote better patient flow and satisfaction.
• Preparing and organizing medical record documentation and charts to assist healthcare providers.
• Accompanying the physician into the patient room during visits to accurately capture and transcribe medical records using electronic medical record applications.
• Diligently updating all aspects of the patient's medical record as directed by the physician.
• Under the physician's guidance, revising all elements of the patient's medical record, including subjective and objective data, physical examinations, and any relevant clinical information.
• Compiling and forwarding all documentation to the physician for review and approval through precise data entry and adherence to facility-specific protocols.
• Collaborating with healthcare staff to effectively track basic lab results and screening processes.
• Monitoring the duration of lab tests and conducting follow-ups as required.
• Ensuring accurate documentation in the patient's record.
• Supporting compliance with hospital and ProScribe policies.
• Understanding and upholding HIPAA regulations.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards.
• Knowledge of the applicable policies for the assigned site.
• Comprehending ProScribe policies related to the specific role.
• Exhibiting professionalism by adhering to ProScribe’s attendance policies at the designated facility.
• Executing additional clerical duties and tasks to enhance provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
• Ability to provide proof of vaccinations as required by the specific site.
• Typing speed of 45+ words per minute.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English fluently.
• Availability to work two shifts per week (16-24 hours weekly) for a minimum of 6 consecutive months (Part-time) OR three shifts per week (32+ hours weekly) for a minimum of 12 consecutive months (Full-time).
• Capability to work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain confidential patient and client information appropriately.

• Attendance responsibilities may vary based on provider preferences and electronic medical record specifics.
