This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Act as the primary contact for patients reaching out to the clinic.
• Handle a significant volume of incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner.
• Address patient inquiries, provide necessary information, and direct concerns appropriately.
• Reduce missed calls and minimize patient wait times during peak hours.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments effectively.
• Coordinate the availability of providers alongside clinic schedules.
• Ensure accurate patient data is recorded in the system.
• Assist patients with questions and requests related to appointments.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage along with their benefits.
• Conduct eligibility checks utilizing insurance portals and systems.
• Relay coverage information to patients when required.
• Ensure precise documentation of insurance details.
• Process and monitor requests for insurance prior authorization.
• Follow up with insurance companies regarding the status of authorizations.
• Maintain precise records and documentation.
• Aid in the collection and processing of patient payments.
• Support daily administrative operations and improve workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with clinic staff and management to ensure seamless operations.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (Required)
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare administration, medical reception, virtual assistance, or a comparable role.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with patients effectively.
• Capability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining high productivity and professionalism.
• Openness to learn clinic-specific workflows and procedures during onboarding and training.
• Prior experience as a Virtual Assistant (Preferred)
• Background in physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, medical clinics, or healthcare environments (Preferred)
• Experience managing high-volume inbound calls.
• Experience coordinating patient scheduling.
• Experience with verifying insurance eligibility.
• Experience handling prior authorizations.
• Experience in payment processing.
• Familiarity with Tebra EHR (Preferred)
• Experience using RingCentral (Preferred)
• Knowledge of insurance verification portals and payer websites (Preferred)
