Bilingual Mental Health Patient Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee all scheduling of appointments with providers for patients, referring physicians, and facilities across various states.

• Relay information regarding insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and appointment dates/times to patients and staff.

• Deliver warm, friendly, and exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and team members.

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel initial and follow-up appointments in accordance with established scheduling protocols and tools.

• Provide precise information about services to physicians and callers.

• Respond promptly to requests from patients, providers, and team members.

• Maintain and update patient information while staying informed about insurance protocols.

• Assess insurance benefits using eligibility systems, online resources, and phone inquiries.

• Clarify benefits and financial obligations to patients and guarantors.

• Manage billing inquiries, collect out-of-pocket payments, and process payments accurately.

• Address insurance issues and collaborate with billing teams to resolve coverage discrepancies.

• Maintain insurance panels effectively.

• Secure approval for scheduling changes or cancellations as necessary.

• Achieve goals and objectives set by management.

• Elevate issues to management when required.

• Perform additional duties based on patient needs.

• Comply with quality and productivity standards.

• Experience with insurance eligibility is essential.

• Bilingual skills in Spanish are required.

• Strong attention to detail is necessary.

• Excellent organizational skills are a must.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

• Capability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

• Availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm EST.
