Bilingual Mental Health Patient Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Coordinate appointments for patients, referring physicians, and facilities across various states.

• Communicate details about insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and appointment dates/times to patients and staff.

• Deliver warm, friendly, and exceptional customer service.

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel initial and follow-up appointments in accordance with scheduling protocols and tools.

• Provide precise information regarding services to physicians and callers.

• Respond swiftly to inquiries from patients, providers, and team members.

• Maintain and update patient information along with knowledge of insurance protocols.

• Determine insurance benefits using eligibility systems, online platforms, or phone inquiries.

• Clarify benefits and financial obligations to patients and guarantors.

• Address billing questions, collect out-of-pocket payments, and ensure accurate payment processing.

• Communicate insurance-related issues and collaborate with billing teams to resolve coverage discrepancies.

• Maintain insurance panels effectively.

• Obtain approvals for any schedule changes or cancellations as necessary.

• Meet goals and objectives set by management.

• Escalate issues to management as needed.

• Perform additional duties based on patient requirements.

• Must be fluent in Spanish.

• Experience in insurance eligibility preferred.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

• Capability to collaborate well in a team-driven environment.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Must adhere to quality and productivity standards.

• Availability to work Mondays–Thursdays from 12:00pm–8:00pm EST and Fridays from 11:00am–7:00pm EST.
