This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Facilitate appointment scheduling with healthcare providers for patients, referring physicians, and facilities across various states.
• Deliver warm, friendly, and exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and team members.
• Accurately schedule, reschedule, and cancel both initial and follow-up appointments utilizing established scheduling protocols and tools.
• Provide detailed information about services to physicians and other callers.
• Respond swiftly to inquiries from patients, providers, and team members.
• Maintain and update patient records and stay informed about insurance protocols.
• Assess insurance benefits through eligibility systems, online platforms, or direct phone communication.
• Clarify benefits and financial responsibilities to patients and guarantors.
• Address billing inquiries, collect out-of-pocket payments, and process transactions accurately.
• Communicate insurance-related issues and collaborate with billing teams to resolve coverage discrepancies.
• Manage and maintain insurance panels.
• Secure approval for scheduling changes or cancellations when necessary.
• Achieve goals and objectives set by management.
• Escalate issues to management as needed.
• Perform additional tasks based on patient requirements.
• Comply with quality and productivity standards.
• Prior experience with insurance eligibility.
• Bilingual in Spanish is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Capability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.
