This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua.
• Record patient consultations and procedures in real-time during appointments.
• Prepare and assess medical charts prior to and following patient visits.
• Accurately document: Patient histories, Examination findings, Treatment plans, Clinical notes.
• Organize documentation utilizing: SOAP notes, Provider-specific templates, EMR/EHR systems.
• Ensure the maintenance of precise and organized medical records.
• Assist in provider follow-ups and facilitate patient communication workflows.
• Support tasks related to: Orders, Documentation updates, Clinical coordination, Administrative follow-up tasks.
• Verify prescriptions and initiate prior authorizations as required.
• Collaborate on documentation with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
• Contribute to maintaining efficient patient flow and enhancing provider productivity.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and safeguard strict patient confidentiality.
• Ensure that all medical documentation is accurate, complete, and ready for audits.
• Adhere to provider documentation standards and clinical workflows.
• Keep current with medical terminology and best practices in healthcare documentation.
• Proficient in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) — REQUIRED.
• English proficiency level: C1 or higher is mandatory.
• At least 6+ months of experience as a: Medical scribe, Dental scribe, or Clinical documentation specialist for U.S.-based healthcare providers.
• Graduates of allied medical programs are strongly preferred: MD, DMD, RN, or similar healthcare-related backgrounds.
• Minimum typing speed of 70+ WPM.
• Strong comprehension of: Medical terminology, Clinical documentation standards, SOAP note formatting, and Healthcare workflows.
• Experience with: EMR/EHR systems and Medical documentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with: Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Capability to multitask and operate effectively in fast-paced clinical settings.
