Bilingual Independent Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver counseling and therapeutic services remotely through telemedicine to patients of Community Health Center partners.

• Offer evidence-based individual and group therapy, including CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and bereavement/grief counseling.

• Involve patients actively in their treatment plans.

• Timely review and sign off on patient psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents.

• Maintain clinic records and document services and patient activities in accordance with clinical, contractual, regulatory, and legal standards.

• Conduct crisis intervention for individuals and families following established safety plans.

• Collaborate in case planning with the Multidisciplinary Team to establish appropriate patient disposition.

• Engage in individual and group supervision.

• Complete ongoing education, in-services, training, post-testing, skill observation, and competency assessments.

• Provide case management services to facilitate recovery and community reintegration.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold an active, unrestricted mental health license in your state of primary residence and California.

• Bilingual skills are required.

• Possess a Licensed Independent Therapist credential: LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• Comfortable working in a remote setting.

• Maintain a patient-first mindset.

• Certified and/or trained in evidence-based trauma modalities such as TF-CBT, EMDR, Brain Spotting, Somatic-Based Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Polyvagal Theory, or Family Systems (IFS).

• Capable of sitting for extended periods during working hours.

• Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

• Have adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents.

• Exhibit clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence.

• Possess sufficient hearing ability for phone calls or virtual meetings.

• Have access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity.

• Successfully complete comprehensive background checks and drug screenings as a condition of employment.
