This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Submit clean claims through electronic channels and traditional paper methods.
• Verify patients' insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage details.
• Accurately apply CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and HCPCS codes.
• Process claims across various specialties and payer types.
• Manage Workers’ compensation claims, Auto accident claims, and Out-of-network billing processes.
• Review Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) and address claim discrepancies.
• Track denied or rejected claims and resubmit with corrections.
• Follow up with insurance companies about unpaid or underpaid claims.
• Appeal claim denials and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements.
• Accurately post payments and reconcile accounts.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and prioritize collection efforts.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality standards.
• Keep detailed records of claims, payments, denials, appeals, and patient billing communications.
• Stay informed on billing regulations, coding updates, and payer requirements.
• Ensure billing documentation is accurate and ready for audits.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) — REQUIRED.
• English proficiency level must be C1 or higher.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in Medical billing, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), or U.S. healthcare administration.
• Prior experience supporting U.S.-based medical practices is REQUIRED.
• Strong knowledge of Insurance claims, AR follow-up, Medical billing workflows, Denial management, and EOB interpretation.
• Proficient in CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with medical billing platforms such as Kareo, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, DrChrono, or similar systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
