This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Oversee the billing and accounts receivable processes of the dental practice.
• Accurately submit and track dental insurance claims in a timely manner.
• Analyze unpaid, rejected, and denied claims to resolve outstanding balances.
• Conduct insurance eligibility and benefits verification as necessary.
• Accurately record insurance and patient payments.
• Review EOBs/ERAs and reconcile payments with submitted claims.
• Detect billing discrepancies, underpayments, and missing payments.
• Follow up with insurance carriers regarding pending claims and payment statuses.
• Manage aging accounts receivable and prioritize accounts that need follow-up.
• Correctly address and resubmit any rejected or denied claims.
• Examine patient accounts for outstanding balances and billing concerns.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and the dental office team.
• Maintain precise billing records and documentation within the practice management system.
• Utilize Dentrix Ascend for managing patient accounts, claims, payments, and billing activities.
• Employ Weave for practice communications as necessary.
• Assist with additional dental administrative and billing tasks as required.
• A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in dental billing, insurance, or accounts receivable.
• Prior experience working directly in a dental office, dental practice, or dental healthcare organization.
• Required hands-on experience with Dentrix Ascend.
• Strong comprehension of dental claims and the dental insurance billing process.
• Experience in claim submission, payment posting, EOB/ERA review, denials, and accounts receivable follow-up.
• Solid understanding of dental insurance terminology, procedures, and billing workflows.
• Experience in liaising with insurance carriers and resolving claim-related issues.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify billing discrepancies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts along with billing priorities.
• Experience with Weave is preferred, though it's not mandatory if the candidate possesses significant dental practice experience.
• Capability to work during U.S. Eastern, Central, or Pacific Time hours.
• Required dental practice experience within a U.S. dental setting.
• Fully remote work arrangement.

• Flexible schedule ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week based on client needs.
