Patient Accounts Receivable Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Accurately input patient payments into the practice management system and reconcile these with deposits and receipts.

• Verify valid patient responsibility balances in collaboration with the insurance A/R team prior to billing patients.

• Generate, review, and dispatch patient statements on a scheduled basis.

• Follow up on outstanding patient balances using phone and email communications.

• Establish payment plans in accordance with practice policy.

• Compile and send weekly and monthly aging and payment reports for patients.

• Update patient demographic information and insurance details.

• Document account actions, patient interactions, and next steps within the system.

• Refer disputes, hardship requests, and accounts eligible for collection agencies to the supervisor.

• Safeguard patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year experience with U.S. healthcare patient accounts receivable, patient payment posting, or patient statements.

• Proficient in generating patient statements and producing aging and payment reports.

• Knowledge of commercial insurance and government health plans, including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.

• Experience in interpreting EOBs and ERAs to verify patient responsibility.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Clear and patient demeanor when communicating over the phone.

• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple patient accounts effectively.

• Reliable internet connection and appropriate remote work environment.

• Familiarity with SIS, ModMed, or Experity is preferred.

• Background in supporting ASC, dermatology, or urgent care practices is preferred.

• Knowledge of Florida insurance plans is preferred.

• Experience in managing sensitive balance discussions is preferred.

• Must be available during Eastern Time business hours.
