Bilingual Content Creator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Create bilingual learning activities and assessments aligned with standards in both English and Spanish for students from PreK to second grade.

• Analyze content coverage within the Khan Academy Kids library and identify any gaps.

• Develop connections between practice activities and assessments through crosswalks.

• Update assessments based on direct child assessment data and psychometric evaluations.

• Author and test assessment items with children and educators in real classroom environments.

• Acquire knowledge of and utilize content-authoring infrastructure.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance authoring tools and workflows.

• Manage requests for creative assets and audio materials.

• Enhance processes for audio generation and quality assurance.

• Act as an editorial reviewer for content in both English and Spanish.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in developing educational content or teaching, preferably with preschool to second-grade children.

• Full professional proficiency and strong writing and editing capabilities in both English and Spanish.

• Ability to create, edit, and adapt bilingual content that is developmentally appropriate, maintaining meaning, tone, and cultural relevance.

• Familiarity with early-learning standards, including Head Start ELOF, Common Core, and state PreK frameworks.

• Comfort in utilizing data and learner feedback to assess and enhance content.

• Willingness to learn technical systems and work with structured content.

• Experience with or eagerness to learn JSON and SQL.

• Proven experience in collaborating with product, engineering, design, research, creative, and academic teams.

• Strong project management and organizational abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Demonstrated cross-cultural competency and inclusive viewpoints.

• Spanish proficiency will be evaluated during the hiring process.
