Big Data Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create big data solutions utilizing Apache Spark and Scala.

• Develop Spark applications using Scala.

• Optimize Spark performance.

• Troubleshoot Spark jobs through the Spark UI.

• Oversee Spark memory usage and configuration settings.

• Implement BDD or TDD methodologies when applicable.

• Provide support to a banking client from one of the largest Swiss banks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Apache Spark and Scala.

• Strong practical experience with Apache Spark.

• Proficient in tuning Spark performance.

• Skilled at debugging Spark jobs through the Spark UI.

• Solid understanding of Spark memory management and various Spark configurations.

• Experience in using Scala for developing Spark applications.

• Strong practical experience with Scala.

• Familiarity with BDD or TDD approaches is a plus.
