BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design intricate business intelligence solutions and assist in shaping the data strategy.

• Recognize and communicate opportunities and risks by applying subject matter expertise.

• Create sophisticated dashboards, scorecards, reports, and data analyses.

• Develop and sustain a web-based portal utilizing React.

• Enhance the delivery of health and human services programs through advanced analytics, algorithms, data visualizations, and mapping techniques.

• Design and maintain intricate SQL queries and scripts to establish data marts in Teradata.

• Execute complex ad hoc SQL queries and reports leveraging claims, beneficiary, and provider data.

• Engage in project discussions, documenting or proposing alternative technical solutions and requirements.

• Take part in unit, integration, and system testing.

• Maintain effective communication and relationships with project stakeholders.

• Collect business requirements and conduct analyses assessing program effectiveness and efficiency.

• Conduct peer reviews and offer technical support and guidance to the project team.

• Assist in project planning and execution, which includes presentations, tracking risks and issues, and reporting status.

• Present deliverables to teams and clients to secure approval and buy-in.

• Collaborate with DBAs, data modelers, and application/system administrators to ensure the maintenance of Teradata and application server hardware and software, including patches, fixes, and upgrades.

• Champion industry standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over five years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Tableau and MS Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and analytics.

• More than five years of experience in crafting complex SQL scripts using Teradata, DB2, or Oracle Load Utilities, or stored procedures.

• At least four years of experience in complex development with React, React.js, or ReactJS.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in client-facing interactions.

• Skills in team collaboration and mentoring.

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or Business Technology.

• More than two years of experience in analyzing and delivering complex analytics using Medicaid claims and enrollment data.

• A minimum of two years of experience in data warehouse projects.

• Over two years of experience in Tableau Server administration.

• Familiarity with SAP Business Objects.

• Experience in development using Base SAS, SAS Analytics, or SAS Enterprise Guide.

• Background in State Medicaid, Medicare, or the healthcare sector.
