BI Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee essential reporting frameworks to enhance business growth and efficiency.

• Generate scheduled and on-demand reports from software platforms utilizing SQL Server, Power BI, and PowerApps.

• Evaluate Time and Attendance data to deliver detailed reporting and pinpoint areas for efficiency improvement.

• Establish connections between organizational data sources to identify and assess value.

• Create performance reports that encompass operational, personnel, financial, and transactional data.

• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports using SQL, PowerApps, and Power BI.

• Develop reporting mechanisms to gauge commercial and operational success as well as the quality of service delivery.

• Assist Operational Managers and Heads of Departments through analytical reporting and summaries.

• Undertake projects that provide analytical solutions for business decision-making, continuous improvement, and business development.

• Conduct trend analysis and forecasting related to demand, capacity, systems, process management, and compliance.

• Ensure data quality in collaboration with colleagues and uphold data quality standards and procedures.

• Manage workflows, processes, data dictionaries, and applications consistent with business strategy.

• Partner with colleagues to define requirements and validate solutions.

• Foster relationships with internal users and ensure project delivery is timely and accurate.

• Keep reports and analytics up to date and aligned with requirements.

• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, HR, Bidding, Compliance, and other departments.

• Execute responsibilities in a cost-effective manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential experience and/or qualifications in Power BI, including dashboard design, complex DAX calculations, data modeling, dataset relationships, and awareness of new releases.

• Strong proficiency in Power Query, including Power Query M and the ability to connect and transform datasets.

• Essential experience with SQL Server, including database maintenance, queries, procedures, and ETL processes.

• Background as a business analyst, data visualization analyst, BI analyst, or a related qualification in computer science or coding.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Suite products, including PowerApps and Power Automate.

• Desirable experience with REST API protocols and API extraction/loading.

• Additional coding experience is highly valued, including PowerShell and Python.

• Conceptual understanding of data modeling and relational databases.

• Capability to clarify complex data structures and analyses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficient in data storytelling and data visualization techniques.

• Ability to communicate and interpret data effectively.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Competence in analyzing, interpreting, and applying complex data and information.

• Experience managing large datasets and relational databases.

• Excellent observational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to operate within tight deadlines while independently prioritizing workload.

• Proven history of achieving results in a progressive, dynamic, fast-paced, and complex operational environment.
