πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee standard employee benefits processes, including enrollments, qualifying life events, status changes, new hires, transfers, and terminations.

β€’ Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of employee benefits records and eligibility information.

β€’ Manage Benefits tickets via ServiceNow, addressing employee inquiries, resolving routine issues, and escalating complex cases.

β€’ Act as a knowledgeable resource for employee benefits inquiries.

β€’ Assist with the annual Benefits Open Enrollment, which includes system updates, employee communication, issue resolution, and follow-ups.

β€’ Work in collaboration with Payroll to investigate and resolve discrepancies in benefits deductions.

β€’ Coordinate benefits-related communications and documentation for both new hires and current employees.

β€’ Maintain benefits documentation and records in compliance with company policies as well as legal and regulatory standards.

β€’ Enter, review, and update employee information in benefits administration and HRIS systems.

β€’ Create and analyze regular benefits reports that encompass enrollment, eligibility, deduction, and participation data.

β€’ Conduct benefits billing reconciliation and investigate discrepancies among enrollment records, vendor invoices, and payroll deductions.

β€’ Aid in benefits audits and research to resolve eligibility discrepancies.

β€’ Support vendor communications and routine issues related to benefits administration.

β€’ Identify process-related issues and suggest enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.

β€’ Carry out other duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ High school diploma or equivalent.

β€’ Level 1: 0–2 years of experience in administrative roles, human resources, benefits, payroll, or related fields.

β€’ Level 2: 3–4 years of experience in administrative roles, human resources, benefits, payroll, or related fields.

β€’ Level 3: 5–6 years of experience in administrative roles, human resources, benefits, payroll, or related fields.

β€’ Capability to interpret and apply benefits policies and procedures.

β€’ Proficient in using HRIS, benefits administration, and service ticketing systems.

β€’ Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

β€’ Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.

β€’ Diplomatic and effective verbal and written communication skills.

β€’ High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity.

β€’ Proficiency in Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

β€’ Level 2 and Level 3: Experience in supporting employee benefits administration.

β€’ Level 2 and Level 3: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel formulas and data reconciliation.

β€’ Level 3: Experience in independently administering employee benefits programs and resolving complex benefits issues.

β€’ Level 3: Experience in benefits billing reconciliation, eligibility audits, and benefits data analysis.

β€’ Ability to pass a background check.

β€’ Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

β€’ Preferred: Experience with COBRA, 401(k) plans, health and wellness programs, or other employee benefit programs.

β€’ Preferred: Experience with HRIS or benefits administration systems such as ADP.

β€’ Preferred: Proficiency with Excel functions including VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP.

β€’ Preferred: Progress toward SHRM-CP, PHR, or PHR certification.

β€’ Preferred: Previous experience with Alaska Native Corporations.

β€’ Preferred: Prior experience in government contracting.
