Belgian French Multimedia Content Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing materials in accordance with established style guides and guidelines.

• Create copy for music, television, App Store applications, video-on-demand services, and gaming subscription offerings.

• Evaluate linguistic work completed by yourself and fellow members of the localization team.

• Edit and verify content for precision and correctness.

• Conduct Localization QA testing on content that is published on live platforms.

• Investigate market-specific content treatment, product trends, terminology, and localization practices.

• Transcribe spoken content, including lyrics.

• Provide reports on data and assets across various media and content types.

• Assess linguistic evaluations and develop training materials and documentation for new projects.

• Educate localization team peers on terminology, stylistic choices, and best practices.

• Work collaboratively with global language teams through virtual meetings and email to align terminology and style while sharing market insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, television, and applications, with evidence of writing samples.

• Experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content.

• Aptitude for swiftly identifying issues and inconsistencies within extensive content and making informed judgments based on available information.

• Comprehensive knowledge of music artists, television, film, gaming, and pop culture.

• Capability to take ownership of a language market and make confident linguistic decisions.

• Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Strong computer skills; familiarity with iOS/macOS systems is an advantage.

• Ability to type in a native-level language using a local English keyboard.

• Capacity to work independently and remotely.
