BD Director, Payments – Mexico, Central America

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Identify and engage with key stakeholders in the payments and stablecoins ecosystem, including banks, fintechs, PSPs, CEXs, wallets, and market makers.

• Advocate for Polygon Labs’ product offerings and roadmap, emphasizing use cases like on-chain FX, cross-border remittances, and the forthcoming Polygon Payments Network.

• Prioritize strategic partnerships and corridors; develop pilots, integrations, and long-term opportunities.

• Analyze and report on changing policies affecting digital payments and blockchain within the region.

• Convert complex developments into actionable insights for both internal teams and external partners.

• Collaborate to create and implement go-to-market plans with leading ecosystem players.

• Ensure ongoing engagement and deliver clear value.

• Create and maintain pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and internal briefings.

• Oversee deliverables across legal, engineering, marketing, and finance teams.

• Enhance and maintain CRMs, dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking tools.

• Ensure operational clarity across all active initiatives in the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or blockchain, particularly in payments, stablecoins, or institutional crypto.

• Strong network within Colombia's financial and fintech landscape.

• Demonstrated ability to lead strategic business development initiatives and facilitate cross-functional execution.

• In-depth understanding of on-chain finance, including DeFi, stablecoins, and institutional yield.

• Familiarity with regional crypto regulations and their impact on financial products.

• Exceptional communicator with strong executive presence and storytelling skills.

• Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic, high-autonomy environment.

• Experience in traditional payments or fintech strategy, particularly in product, pricing, or go-to-market roles.

• Knowledge of DeFi, remittances, or crypto-native infrastructure.

• Exposure to M&A, investment evaluations, or deal structuring.

• Understanding of FX flows, capital controls, and challenges in emerging markets.

• Experience creating collateral for partners, investors, or sales teams.
