This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Educate and train staff on the Positive Behavior Support methodology.

• Collaborate as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs), offering behavioral expertise.

• Evaluate, design, train, oversee, and report on Behavior Plans.

• Conduct both descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and analyze the results.

• Deliver direct behavioral treatment through replacement skills training, social skills development, crisis de-escalation, group and individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching.

• Supervise the use of restraints and provide training aimed at reducing their necessity.

• Monitor and address challenging behaviors.

• Engage in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other pertinent committees.

• Offer tailored services that meet the treatment needs of patients in specialty intermediate care clinics.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• VA licensure is mandatory.

• Availability for afternoon and evening hours is required.

• A Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is necessary.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is essential.

• Proficient in reading and understanding simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.

• Capable of writing simple correspondence.

• Able to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings.

• Competent in applying common sense understanding to execute detailed written or oral instructions.

• Skilled in addressing problems that involve a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Capable of making independent decisions with sound judgment and attention to detail.

• Knowledgeable in approved crisis management procedures and able to participate effectively.

• Able to record and enter data neatly, accurately, and objectively, in accordance with Oakwood standards.
