
Banking Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Diagnose, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on banking security equipment.
β’ Install equipment and provide service/support to existing clients by addressing service requests.
β’ Install, repair, refurbish, and maintain remote drive-up systems, as well as audio and video devices.
β’ Manage locking mechanisms, including drawer locks, vaults, secure keyways, and additional banking systems.
β’ Install, program, test, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
β’ Configure and support network systems and equipment for designated projects.
β’ Install new units, ensuring final connections, testing, and training are completed.
β’ Address customer service inquiries, scheduled maintenance, emergency requests, and after-hours service calls.
β’ Identify project challenges and contribute to strategies that reduce costs and prevent schedule overruns.
β’ Review completed work for adherence to specifications, requirements, and compliance with manufacturer standards.
β’ Estimate costs, timelines, and materials needed for replacement equipment.
β’ Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment as necessary.
β’ Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment or software systems effectively.
β’ Mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
β’ Collaborate with team members to optimize operations.
β’ Provide management with insights regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, installation methods, standards, and product enhancements.
β’ Execute tasks in accordance with regulations, best practices, and company health and safety policies.
β’ Maintain a professional image and perform additional assigned duties.
β’ High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
β’ Proficient understanding of drive-up, locking, and electronic systems relevant to the banking sector.
β’ Basic familiarity with Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) and Network Video Recorders (NVRs) associated with remote systems.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
β’ Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
β’ Strong interpersonal communication skills.

β’ Flexibility and adaptability.
β’ Preferred but not mandatory: technical diploma and/or equivalent trade experience (e.g., Electrician).
β’ Preferred but not mandatory: 1 year of prior technician experience in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operation environment.
β’ Preferred but not mandatory: experience in the electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation sectors.
