This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Participate in a comprehensive full-time training program for new Investigators lasting 6–7 weeks, conducted both virtually and in-person.
• Execute in-person background investigations to assess employment eligibility for individuals needing access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information.
• Engage in daily travel while performing investigations.
• Arrange and conduct face-to-face interviews with subjects, neighbors, employers, friends, and family members.
• Conduct record searches at police departments, courthouses, educational institutions, financial organizations, and medical/mental health facilities.
• Clearly and concisely document the information gathered using a government-issued computer system.
• Function independently as part of an investigative team while collaborating with a Field Manager.
• A minimum of 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor’s degree is required.
• Previous experience in conducting federal background investigations is preferred.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• An active federal background investigation with a T5 adjudication is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Candidates must reside within 15 miles of the Wesley Chapel city center.
• Daily local travel and occasional travel outside the primary work area may be necessary.
• Temporary Duty Assignments/remote travel of 14–30 days away from home may be required.
• A home office setup is necessary.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for full-time use are mandatory.
• Adequate motor vehicle insurance is necessary.
• Typing skills must be accurate and efficient; a typing speed of 40+ WPM is recommended.
• Capability to operate multiple computer programs simultaneously.
• Ability to speak for extended periods and hear sufficiently for in-person and telephone communications.
• Proficient in recording, reading, and transcribing words and numbers accurately.
• Strong grammar and writing skills are essential.
• Professional demeanor, attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, confidentiality, ethics, and integrity are required.
• Professional attire is mandatory.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds, climb stairs, walk extensively, stand for prolonged periods, and drive in adverse or nighttime conditions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment under remote supervision.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, prioritization, writing, and communication skills are necessary.
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
