This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Participate in a comprehensive full-time new Investigator training program lasting 6β7 weeks, both virtually and in-person.
β’ Execute in-person federal background investigations to assess the suitability of individuals for employment requiring access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information.
β’ Engage in daily travel to conduct investigations.
β’ Arrange and carry out face-to-face interviews with subjects, neighbors, employers, friends, and family members.
β’ Conduct record searches at police agencies, courthouses, educational institutions, financial institutions, and medical/mental health facilities.
β’ Clearly and concisely document all gathered information using a government-issued computer system.
β’ Work autonomously while also collaborating with a team of Investigators and a Field Manager.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree may be considered.
β’ Preference will be given to candidates with experience in conducting federal background investigations.
β’ Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret eligible clearance.
β’ An active federal background investigation with a T5 adjudication is preferred.
β’ U.S. citizenship is required.
β’ Candidates must reside within 15 miles of the Apopka city center.
β’ Daily local travel and occasional travel outside the primary work area as needed.
β’ Temporary Duty Assignments or remote travel lasting 14β30 days away from home may be required.
β’ A home office is necessary.
β’ A valid driver's license and full-time access to reliable transportation are required.
β’ Adequate motor vehicle insurance is required.
β’ Capable of typing accurately and efficiently; a typing speed of 40+ WPM is recommended.
β’ Ability to utilize multiple computer programs simultaneously.
β’ Must possess the ability to speak for extended periods and effectively hear to communicate in person and via phone.
β’ Proficient in recording, reading, and transcribing words and numbers accurately.
β’ Strong grammar and writing skills are essential.
β’ Professional interaction skills, attention to detail, consistent attendance, punctuality, and confidentiality are required.
β’ Professional attire is mandatory.
β’ Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds, climb stairs, walk extensively, stand for lengthy periods, and drive in adverse or nighttime conditions.
β’ Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, changing environment under remote supervision.
β’ Strong organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills.
β’ Proficient writing and communication abilities are necessary.
β’ Position is full-time for employees.
β’ Comprehensive full-time 6β7 week new Investigator training, both virtually and in-person.
β’ Potential eligibility for overtime, shift differentials, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
β’ Arrangement for a home office.
β’ Professional training and certification in the Federal Investigative Standards.
β’ Remote travel and Temporary Duty Assignments may be necessary.
