Backend Engineer – Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop high-performance, scalable applications suitable for enterprise use.

• Engage in the development of mission-critical applications.

• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and clients to review program goals, input data, and output specifications.

• Provide estimates based on project requirements, wireframes, and designs.

• Adhere to best practices in software development.

• Conduct peer code reviews.

• Ensure projects are developed without significant defects.

• Take initiative on new and diverse requests and seek opportunities to provide additional value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Brazil.

• Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship; Metal Toad is unable to sponsor any type of visa.

• Resume should be submitted in English as a PDF document.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Python.

• Understanding of relational database concepts.

• Familiarity with Postman and making API calls.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases.

• Experience in developing and deploying REST APIs.

• Proficient in JSON modeling and usage.

• Experience with querying and modeling using relational databases.

• Familiarity with package managers such as npm or pip.

• Proficient in using Git for version control.

• Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Dedication to improving project test coverage.
