Backend Developer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI

• Design and implement solutions deployed on Azure Container Apps

• Manage secure integration between applications utilizing OAuth 2.0, MSAL, JWT, and JWKS

• Implement secure access mechanisms for Azure SQL databases

• Configure and manage secrets and credentials through Azure Key Vault

• Establish observability strategies using OpenTelemetry and Application Insights

• Design and execute unit tests

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration and evolution of services

• Apply best practices in development, security, and software maintainability

• Participate in continuous improvement activities and optimization of backend applications

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Python 3.12

• Background in API development with FastAPI

• Familiarity with Azure Container Apps

• Knowledge and management of containers

• Experience with OAuth 2.0

• Proficiency in Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL)

• Understanding of JWT and JWKS

• Experience with Azure SQL

• Knowledge of access via Private Endpoint

• Experience managing Azure Key Vault

• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry

• Experience with Azure Application Insights

• Background in unit testing

• Knowledge of best practices in backend development

• Advantageous: experience in cloud-native architectures on Azure

• Advantageous: experience in advanced observability and distributed monitoring

• Advantageous: knowledge in deployment automation and DevOps

• Advantageous: experience in microservices-based architectures
