Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain Java applications and microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

• Engage with legacy systems such as Struts, Servlets, JSP, and PrimeFaces.

• Implement containerization using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes.

• Create data-streaming solutions leveraging Kafka and Kafka Streams.

• Uphold code quality by adhering to best practices and performing testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Owners.

• Document processes and architectural decisions effectively.

• Monitor and resolve issues within production environments.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in software engineering, particularly with Java and/or JVM-based languages.

• Proficiency in developing and managing systems using Java, microservices, and APIs (Spring Boot, Node.js).

• Familiarity with service containerization (Docker and Kubernetes, including on-premises Kubernetes and AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift).

• Understanding of DevOps tools (Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam).

• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum).

• Experience with both private and public cloud environments: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Strong emphasis on quality and best practices, committed to writing clear, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes.
