This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +9 more states.
• Design, architect, and supervise large-scale cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Spearhead architecture and delivery for intricate full-stack applications utilizing React, Angular, TypeScript, and relevant mobile frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance across .NET, C#, Python, Node.js, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Assume responsibility for comprehensive Azure architecture encompassing networking, security, governance, identity management, observability, resilience, performance, and cost optimization.
• Establish and execute enterprise Infrastructure as Code standards utilizing Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Lead architecture evaluations, technical design discussions, and solution governance across multiple concurrent projects.
• Propel application modernization, cloud migrations, and hybrid cloud integration strategies.
• Mentor engineering teams in AI and Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG, vector databases, and enterprise AI architectures.
• Set architecture standards, engineering best practices, coding standards, security protocols, and cloud governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with executives, business stakeholders, product owners, program managers, and engineering leadership.
• Lead a globally distributed team of architects, developers, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and QA professionals across both onshore and offshore models.
• Champion Agile and Scrum methodologies, delivery oversight, risk management, estimation, roadmap planning, and technical project leadership.
• Mentor architects and senior engineers while promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Assess emerging technologies and formulate strategic recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security, privacy, governance, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
• At least 8 years of experience in architecting enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in roles such as Lead Architect, Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, or Principal Architect for large-scale enterprise initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure OpenAI, Azure Generative AI Services, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Containers, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure Landing Zones, Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Networking Services, and Azure Monitor.
• Strong practical experience with .NET/C#, Python, Node.js, REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.
• Significant frontend architecture experience with React, Angular, TypeScript, and contemporary UI/UX frameworks.
• Expertise in designing enterprise Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.
• Profound understanding of Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, VPN, Private Endpoints, ExpressRoute, DNS, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, and network security architecture.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and release management.
• Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, Azure Policy, and Defender for Cloud.
• Proven track record of leading geographically distributed engineering teams and managing complex delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Strong skills in executive communications, presentations, stakeholder management, and client interactions.
• Experience in managing architecture roadmaps, project risks, technical dependencies, budgets, and delivery timelines.
• Solid background in Agile delivery with Scrum and enterprise-scale Agile frameworks.
• Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist, or similar Agile certification.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agentic AI, multi-agent architectures, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Agent Framework, Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, RAG, enterprise AI platforms, enterprise integration platforms, Fortune 500 organizations, significant digital transformation initiatives, and regulated sectors.
