Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee Azure infrastructure utilizing Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

• Automate cloud deployments and manage resources with Azure DevOps pipelines, scripts, and various automation tools.

• Monitor and enhance Azure service performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for applications and services hosted on Azure.

• Collaborate with development teams on repositories, build processes, and deployment automation strategies.

• Ensure adherence to version control and release management practices.

• Manage and maintain Linux servers to ensure availability, security, and optimal performance.

• Execute system updates, patches, and configuration management utilizing Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Troubleshoot issues related to networking, security, system performance, and applications.

• Implement security best practices for Azure services and Linux servers.

• Conduct security assessments and audits, ensuring timely application of patches and updates.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance process efficiency.

• Provide support for production systems, including participating in on-call rotations as required.

• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for Azure and Linux environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud services, including management of VMs, networking, storage, and security.

• Strong expertise in Linux system administration, particularly with Red Hat, Ubuntu, or CentOS.

• Practical experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes technologies.

• Experience in performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning for cloud and Linux environments.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Strong documentation abilities and attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Azure certification, such as Azure Administrator or Azure DevOps Engineer (preferred).

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, or Logic Apps (preferred).

• Knowledge of network security and VPN configuration within cloud environments (preferred).

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database management in cloud environments (preferred).
