Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee Azure infrastructure utilizing Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

• Automate cloud deployments and manage resources through Azure DevOps pipelines, scripts, and other automation tools.

• Monitor and enhance the performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of Azure services.

• Create, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for applications and services hosted on Azure.

• Collaborate with development teams regarding code repositories, build processes, and deployment automation.

• Ensure adherence to version control and release management practices.

• Manage and maintain Linux servers to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

• Execute system updates, patches, and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Troubleshoot networking, security, application performance, and various system-related issues.

• Implement best practices for security concerning Azure services and Linux servers.

• Conduct security assessments and audits while applying necessary patches and updates.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

• Work alongside development, QA, and operations teams to optimize processes.

• Provide support for production systems, including participating in on-call rotations as required.

• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for both Azure and Linux environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud services, including virtual machine management, networking, storage, and security.

• Strong expertise in Linux system administration, particularly with Red Hat, Ubuntu, or CentOS.

• Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

• Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning within cloud and Linux environments.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Exceptional documentation skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Azure certification, such as Azure Administrator or Azure DevOps Engineer, is preferred.

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, or Logic Apps is preferred.

• Background in network security and VPN configuration in cloud settings is preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL database management in cloud environments is preferred.
