Azure DevOps Deployment Engineer, EU Institution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assist ICT teams in the development, integration, and deployment of applications for back-end systems, client devices, mobile platforms, and PCs.

• Aid ICT teams in managing and configuring system environments.

• Support project teams during system testing phases.

• Monitor and evaluate system performance and overall health.

• Report and address technical issues related to system environments.

• Liaise and communicate with system vendors and contractors regarding technical matters on behalf of Frontex ICT.

• Assist ICT and project teams in establishing development environments in Azure.

• Oversee business architecture and provide guidance on solution designs.

• Promote collaboration between business architects and project teams to ensure alignment with the customer's long-term vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree (BSc or MSc).

• Over 8 years of extensive experience in software deployment management.

• Proficient understanding of software release management.

• Experience in CI/CD management for mission-critical complex enterprise systems.

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET applications.

• Strong background in administering and troubleshooting hosted ASP.NET applications.

• Expert knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint platform-specific tools.

• Familiarity with IIS configuration, application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication methods.

• Understanding of Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts.

• Knowledge of RUP and/or Agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with application servers.

• Understanding of application building and deployment tools, such as Ant and Azure Pipelines.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps.

• Experience with development tools and Git-based workflows.

• Ability to automate application deployments and updates to environment configurations.

• Knowledge of RDBMS.

• Proficient communication skills for participation in multilingual meetings.

• Capability to thrive in an international work environment.

• Willingness to work as a freelancer on a fully remote basis.

• EU nationality necessary for security clearance.

• Located in the EU, with a freelancer entity or readiness to establish VAT/freelancer status in an EU country.

• Azure DevOps/Cloud-related certifications to be specified.
