Azure DevOps Deployment Engineer – EU Institution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assist ICT teams in the development, integration, and deployment of applications for back-end systems, client devices, mobile, and PC platforms.

• Aid ICT teams in managing and configuring system environments.

• Support project teams during system testing phases.

• Monitor and evaluate system performance and overall health.

• Report and coordinate technical issues concerning system environments.

• Liaise with system vendors and contractors regarding technical matters on behalf of Frontex ICT.

• Assist ICT and project teams in the deployment of development environments within Azure.

• Oversee business architecture and guide solution design processes.

• Encourage collaboration among business architects and project teams to align with the customer’s long-term vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree (BSc or MSc) is required.

• A minimum of 8 years of profound expertise in software deployment management.

• Strong understanding of software release management principles.

• Proven experience in CI/CD management for mission-critical, complex enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines specifically for ASP.NET applications.

• Extensive experience in administering and troubleshooting hosted ASP.NET applications.

• Proficiency in SharePoint and SharePoint platform-specific tools.

• Knowledge of IIS configuration, including application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication mechanisms.

• Understanding of Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts.

• Familiarity with RUP and/or Agile methodologies.

• Knowledge of application servers.

• Experience with build and deployment tools such as Ant and Azure Pipelines.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps is essential.

• Familiarity with development tools and Git-based workflows.

• Ability to automate application deployments and updates to environment configurations.

• Understanding of RDBMS.

• Capability to engage in multilingual meetings with strong communication skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in an international environment.

• EU nationality is required for security clearance.

• Must be based in the EU with a freelancer entity or be willing to establish VAT/freelancer status in an EU country.
