AWS, DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Set up and manage AWS development, testing, and production environments.

• Implement automated deployment processes.

• Ensure secure access, monitoring, recovery, and system launch.

• Share operational knowledge with the client.

• Work collaboratively with the client's internal product, project management, UX/design, and English/French content teams.

• Offer comprehensive documentation and facilitate technical delivery and handover.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in AWS hosting, networking, storage, identity/access management, and environment segregation.

• Experience with infrastructure as code, source control, CI/CD, and automated security checks.

• Skills in monitoring, alerting, logging, backups, restore testing, and deployment rollback.

• Knowledge in performance optimization, cloud cost management, secrets handling, and operational run books.

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

• Must be available within one month.

• Candidates must be located in Canada; preference for contractors in Canada or the USA.

• Availability during standard EST business hours is required.

• Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.

• Proficiency in spoken and written French is a significant advantage.
