This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Review claims reports, assess benefits owed, and ensure timely payments and adjustments.
• Oversee first-party property, casualty, and/or medical reimbursement claims in alignment with client-specific coverage and programs.
• Make coverage decisions based on thorough investigation and evaluation.
• Communicate claim actions effectively with claimants and clients.
• Adjudicate appropriate settlements within the designated authority level.
• Collaborate directly with underwriters and clients on high-value and complex cases.
• Manage a large volume of claims, phone calls, and correspondence.
• Accurately document all claim files.
• Achieve quality, production, customer guideline, and deadline standards.
• Conduct thorough reviews of contested claims.
• Coordinate investigative efforts efficiently.
• Negotiate claim settlements up to the designated authority level.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Contribute to the organization's quality programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Valid Property & Casualty Adjuster License for states where required.
• Preference for multiple state adjuster licenses.
• Proven experience managing ongoing property claims within a structured claims environment.
• Preferred background in desk-adjusting or staff-adjusting roles over an extended period.
• Experience overseeing claims throughout the entire claim lifecycle.
• Proven ability to maintain productivity standards and operate within established processes.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of claims management experience or a combination of experience and education is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of first-party property and casualty claim adjudication.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
• Proficient in PC operations, including Microsoft Office applications.
