Automation Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute test automation in environments based on AWS.

• Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, KeySpaces, EMR, and Batch Jobs.

• Create automated test scripts.

• Develop an automation framework from the ground up.

• Perform comprehensive testing across UI, API, database, and cloud layers.

• Carry out performance testing within cloud environments.

• Design, implement, and uphold test cases.

• Conduct regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Manage test data and configure test environments.

• Execute API contract testing, database validation, and authentication/authorization testing.

• Monitor defects and maintain thorough documentation.

• Collaborate with GitLab, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, Agile/Scrum practices, and microservices testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, KeySpaces, EMR, and Batch Jobs.

• Familiarity with automation tools such as Playwright, Postman, and RestAssured.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, Bash, or other scripting languages.

• Experience with GitLab, Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Experience testing microservices architectures.

• Capability to perform end-to-end testing across UI, API, database, and cloud layers.

• Experience in developing automated test scripts.

• Ability to design and construct an automation framework from scratch.

• Experience in conducting performance testing in cloud settings.

• Strong grasp of test case design, execution, and maintenance.

• Experience with regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Knowledge of test data management and the setup of test environments.

• Familiarity with API contract testing, database validation, and authentication/authorization testing.

• Excellent documentation, defect tracking, and communication skills.

• Public Trust clearance level.

• Work authorization in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
