Automation & Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance integrations among ServiceM8, Xero, GoHighLevel, roof-measurement tools, and other business applications.

• Create and oversee REST API integrations, webhooks, and automated workflows to ensure reliable two-way communication between systems.

• Implement data validation, conditional logic, duplicate prevention, error management, synchronization recovery, logging, and automated alert notifications.

• Diagnose integration issues and devise workarounds for platform limitations.

• Test and monitor integrations for reliability, scalability, and consistency.

• Reduce manual data entry and minimize repetitive administrative tasks.

• Design and configure automations within the client's Mac-based systems and Claude-powered AI environment.

• Document system knowledge, business logic, implementation decisions, configurations, and troubleshooting details transparently.

• Ensure the AI environment comprehends system operations, integration frameworks, and problem-resolution processes.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to expedite implementation and enhance workflows.

• Integrate GoHighLevel with operational, sales, accounting, and roof-measurement systems.

• Assist with lead management, sales follow-up, customer engagement, and operational processes.

• Accurately synchronize customer, lead, quote, and job data.

• Aid the Office Manager with foundational GoHighLevel integrations while not taking over daily platform management.

• Work with the Office Manager to understand workflows and uncover automation opportunities.

• Link operational, sales, and accounting systems to enhance visibility into jobs, quotes, expenses, and financial performance.

• Evaluate financial impacts, inefficiencies, costs, productivity, and profitability.

• Investigate failed synchronizations, missing data, duplicate records, and system outages.

• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and recovery protocols.

• Continuously enhance systems as business needs evolve.

• Document integration logic, workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Articulate technical concepts and system behaviors in layman's terms.

• Manage automations through planning, development, testing, maintenance, and optimization.

• Create maintainable systems that the company can understand, manage, and scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate must be based in the Philippines.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in developing integrations between business applications using REST APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms.

• Solid understanding of two-way synchronization, data validation, duplicate prevention, error handling, and recovery procedures.

• Familiarity with ServiceM8, Xero, or similar field-service management, CRM, and accounting platforms.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or AI environments, preferably Claude.

• Comfortable working directly within a client's systems and documenting technical knowledge throughout the process.

• Strong grasp of business workflows, conditional logic, data structures, and integration troubleshooting.

• Ability to analyze basic financial data, including profit-and-loss statements, gross profit, gross margins, job costs, and overheads.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills with the capability to explain technical solutions in simple terms.

• A commercially focused mindset centered on operational efficiency, customer experience, and profitability.

• Capability to work independently while collaborating with business leadership and operational stakeholders.

• Proactive, accountable, and detail-oriented approach.

• Practical experience with GoHighLevel is a plus.
