This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Outline the framework and logic of Fieldguide's ready-to-use methodology content in collaboration with methodology partners.
• Develop how audit standards are integrated into methodology content and audit procedures within the platform.
• Organize guidance from US GAAS, PCAOB standards, and other relevant frameworks into cohesive content.
• Identify industry procedures, testing methods, internal control testing, and practice guidance for methodology.
• Oversee the ingestion and review of methodology content and engagement templates to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Evaluate and enhance methodology and engagement templates based on auditor feedback.
• Collaborate with AI architects and engineers to convert professional standards and practitioner insights into prompts, workflows, and guidelines.
• Engage with product teams to translate audit standards and industry guidance into functional specifications and user workflows.
• Assist financial audit implementation teams with customized methodology development, modifications, and annual updates.
• Ensure that methodologies and customizations adhere to stringent quality control, version control, review and approval processes, and change documentation.
• Keep track of regulatory and industry changes and provide advice on their implications for products.
• Maintain and enhance the audit knowledge base as standards and guidance evolve.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of AICPA auditing standards (GAAS), PCAOB, and audit methodology.
• Familiarity with audit technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, audit methodologies, templates, or workpapers.
• Working understanding of quality control/quality management standards, including SQMS 1 and PCAOB QC standards.
• Capability to translate professional standards into structured workflows and logical frameworks.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across product and engineering teams.
• A keen interest in the convergence of audit, data, and AI.
• A desire to contribute to process enhancement and optimization.
• Experience in audit methodology or national office roles.
• Proficiency in international auditing standards and methodologies.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt design, or AI-assisted workflows.
