Audio Transcription Reviewer, Cantonese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assess completed Cantonese-English audio transcriptions for precision and thoroughness

• Confirm audio segmentation and speaker identification

• Detect and rectify transcription, segmentation, and formatting inaccuracies

• Ensure that healthcare terminology is accurately transcribed where relevant

• Adhere to project protocols to uphold consistent quality standards

• Raise any unclear or complex cases as necessary

• Liaise with the Project Manager for any clarifications

• Fulfill assigned batches within the designated project timeline

• Engage in a project lasting around 2 months, with flexible working hours and an estimated workload of about 2 hours per batch

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in spoken Cantonese and capable of reading and writing Traditional Chinese

• Acquainted with the Hong Kong Cantonese accent

• Comfortable reviewing Cantonese-English dialogues that include code-switching and occasional English medical terminology

• Fluent in English for effective project communication and understanding of project guidelines

• Experience in reviewing transcriptions, subtitles, or language-related content is preferred

• A background in healthcare or familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous

• Prior experience in transcription, quality control, data annotation, localization, or AI language projects is a plus

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to spot transcription and segmentation mistakes

• Familiarity with using a Cantonese Jyutping keyboard

• Ability to consistently follow detailed project guidelines

• Access to a laptop or desktop computer, headset, and a reliable internet connection

• Mandatory onboarding training during office hours (GMT+8)

• Completion of the mandatory pre-assessment as part of the screening process
