
Attorney – Outside Counsel Bill Review Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in a structured onboarding program lasting 6–8 weeks, featuring online resources and consistent sessions.
• Conduct quality assurance on legal bill analyses submitted by Legal Analysts.
• Ensure adherence to each client's Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines.
• Utilize proprietary software to review, amend, and finalize analyses.
• Craft persuasive narratives to clarify excessive or non-compliant charges.
• Confirm the accuracy of expenses and disbursements.
• Manage deadlines effectively and deliver work in a timely manner.
• Facilitate monthly coaching sessions for designated Legal Analysts.
• Assist Legal Analysts in enhancing the quality and consistency of their work.
• Report directly to the Director of Outside Counsel Spend Analysis.
• Contribute to the development and advancement of the Legal Analysts team.
• Licensed attorney in good standing based in the U.S.
• Over 5 years of experience at a large law firm that bills clients on an hourly basis.
• Comprehensive knowledge of legal billing practices, law firm operations, and outside counsel guidelines.
• A strong commitment to accuracy and ethical billing standards.
• Highly skilled in software use and eager to explore emerging tools.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a professional sense of skepticism.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and managing data entry at scale.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and influence others.
• Strong, persuasive writing abilities.
• A high sense of ownership and responsibility.
