Associate Site Reliability Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee system performance and availability, addressing any issues that arise.

• Address incidents related to batch jobs, message queues, system integration components, and user feedback.

• Examine root causes of incidents by utilizing incident response strategies.

• Resolve root causes and restore compromised data to avert future occurrences.

• Create monitoring and alert systems to identify errors promptly.

• Employ development tools to troubleshoot issues effectively.

• Design tools for ecosystem monitoring and self-assessment.

• Implement best practices and consistently enhance systems and processes to improve reliability and performance.

• Ensure the health of applications and services, guaranteeing smooth operations and an exceptional user experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related discipline, or an equivalent blend of education and hands-on experience.

• Familiarity with software engineering principles.

• Expertise in one or more programming languages.

• Understanding of system administration and management of production environments.

• Skilled in using monitoring and logging tools.

• Strong aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus.

• Successful completion of a background check is required as part of the hiring process.

• Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule during evenings and weekends.

• Readiness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Ability to operate in English.
