Associate Site Reliability Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee system performance and availability, addressing any identified issues.

• Respond to incidents related to batch jobs, message queues, system integration components, and user reports.

• Conduct root cause analysis of incidents according to established response plans.

• Resolve root causes and recover corrupted data to prevent future occurrences.

• Create monitoring systems and alerts to identify errors.

• Employ development tools to troubleshoot issues.

• Develop tools for ecosystem monitoring and self-diagnosis.

• Implement best practices and continuously enhance systems and processes to improve reliability and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

• Familiarity with software engineering principles.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages.

• Understanding of system administration and management of production environments.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure-as-code tools is advantageous.

• Successful candidates must undergo a background check.

• Must be available for a rotational on-call schedule, including evening and weekend shifts.

• Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
