Associate Risk Intelligence Analyst, Advanced Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and assess potential sanctions alerts while adhering to compliance obligations

• Employ analytical and problem-solving abilities to pinpoint potential business partners and clients

• Make prompt decisions even with incomplete or vague information

• Safeguard the confidentiality of information gathered during investigations

• Update and maintain databases

• Keep track of global sanctions and economic developments

• Leverage open-source research instruments

• Assist client trade compliance by providing research and analytical support for due diligence and sanctions activities

• Work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams

• Travel to client locations as necessary based on the nature of the work

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a research or analytics discipline related to social and political sciences or foreign policy

• Understanding of research best practices and methodologies

• Experience in utilizing research and analysis to inform decision-making

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others, particularly across different functions

• Capacity to work independently and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision

• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Willingness and capability to operate in a remote setting

• Must have authorization to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship

• Should be able to manage the demands of traveling to client sites and adjust to client-site conditions

• Consistent, reliable attendance is essential

• Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours as required by business needs

• Preferred: Master’s degree in international studies, political science, or foreign policy

• Preferred: Experience working within a remote team

• Preferred: Technologically adept, comfortable with learning new tools, and confident in using AI for research, analysis, and sanctions investigations
